Disclaimer & affiliate links

We want you to be able to trust us. So here, without beating about the bush, is how Ardennen op Reis works and how we fund the site.

Affiliate links

Ardennen op Reis earns money with affiliate links, including from accommodation and activity providers. If you click such a link and book something, we receive a commission from that provider. The price for you stays the same. Providers have no influence on what we write. Affiliate links are labelled as ads and technically marked with rel="sponsored".

Who do we work with?

Our main affiliate partner is Booking.com, via the affiliate network CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction). Some places to stay on our destination pages have a button “👉 See current prices & availability” with the label “Ad · affiliate link”. This button takes you via CJ to the property's page on Booking.com. If you book there, we receive a small commission from Booking.com; you pay the same. We decide ourselves which addresses we recommend: addresses without an affiliate link stay on the page too, with a button to their own website.

On the activities with kids page there are also buttons “🎟️ Tickets/tour via Viator” and “🎟️ Tickets/tour via GetYourGuide”, also with the label “Ad · affiliate link”. They take you to a ticket or tour at Viator (Viator's partner programme) or GetYourGuide (GetYourGuide's partner programme). If you book there, we receive a small commission; you pay the same. We decide ourselves which days out we mention: most cards also have a button to the official website.

All other buttons (sights, maps, official sources) are normal links without any fee.

Figures and information

We calculate distances, driving times and costs as carefully as possible and always give the source and date. Prices, traffic rules and opening times change. Always check important details yourself before you leave. We accept no liability for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the content.
